We wish to engage volunteers in assisting community members complete applications/forms for housing, jobs, classes, etc. We wish to eliminate any barrier that could potentially hold our clients back from becoming self-sufficient and realize that some folks need this extra assistance. We believe that our clients would find huge value in this service. We also believe that the volunteer would have a direct impact on capturing a piece of the American Dream for the client and his/her family.
This session would be held here at our office each Monday through Friday from 10-2. This would require someone who has experience completing practical applications/documents, and is bilingual English and French-based Creole, Spanish, Vietnamese, or Mayan. While the primary responsibility is working with community members, we may also ask for your assistance in other projects. Confidentiality and flexibility is a must. Someone who has previous Human Resources experience would thrive in this position; overall, a desire to help families become self sufficient is essential.
