The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and growing in the Latino community in Marin. Inspired by this, we launched the Canal Alliance Sustainable Enterprise Center to support the ever growing numbers of Latino entrepreneurs in Marin. The Center is located at 130 Alto Street which is just around the corner from our main front door.
Sustainability is at the core of our training because we recognize the need and opportunity for entrepreneurs to incorporate green principles into the building of a successful business. The center contains a 24-seat training room, business counselors, workspace for entrepreneurs and a resource library.
Sustainable Small Business Training
The goal of our ten-session Sustainable Small Business Training in Spanish is to help immigrant entrepreneurs expand existing and start new businesses by building the foundation of all successful businesses: a business plan. The core of the training utilizes the text, The One Page Business Plan, which builds a business plan around vision, mission, objectives, strategies and plans. Other topics covered are finances, marketing, operations and human resources. Sustainable business concepts are taught and emphasized throughout the course.
Training program graduates have access to one-on-one business counseling and financial coaching, an alumni network, advanced workshops and our resource library.
