Erin Elskes is an immigration attorney and the newest member of Canal Alliance’s legal team. Erin earned her B.A. in English and Spanish from U.C. Davis in 2003 and her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2008. Before joining Canal Alliance, she worked as a certified legal intern at the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office and as a volunteer immigration attorney at the International Institute of the Bay Area in Oakland. Erin has always been passionate about public interest work and truly enjoys helping others with their immigration issues. At Canal Alliance, she works primarily on U visa, VAWA, and family-based immigration cases. Erin is fluent in English and Spanish. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, Javier, and spends her free time playing music and exploring the outdoors.
