Marin County Immigrant Rights Training Event

On February 1, 2025, Canal Alliance co-hosted a “Know Your Rights” training event for Marin County partners, agencies, and individuals. The training provided an overview of the current political landscape and sanctuary policies related to immigration. Participants received training on how to conduct “Know Your Rights” presentations in immigrant communities to equip them with the information and tools they need to protect themselves in the face of raids, abuse, and exploitation.
The workshop was led by Professor Bill Hing, University of San Francisco, and Miosotti Tenecora, Staff Attorney, Immigrant Legal Resource Center.
