Canal Alliance’s PACE Program Receives Grant from Wells Fargo
October 25, 2023
Canal Alliance is proud to announce that it has received a $25,000 grant from Wells Fargo to support our Policy and Civic Engagement (PACE) program. This grant will help to advance the five key initiatives of PACE which seeks to advocate for affordable housing, improve transportation equity, mitigate sea-level rise and expand voter participation.
Since publishing its first public policy agenda in 2018, the Canal Alliance PACE program has expanded our efforts to advocate for the needs of Marin County’s low-income Latino immigrant community. Our PACE team played a key role in supporting the accuracy of the Marin County’s 2020 Census and successfully advocated for equitable redistricting to empower Latino voters. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, we also formed the Canal Policy Working Group, a coalition of community-based organizations, local government, and business leaders that can act quickly to support people most in need.
Wells Fargo is a leading financial services company that focuses its social impact on building a sustainable, inclusive future in the communities it serves through housing affordability, small business growth, financial health, and a low-carbon economy.
Thanks to the generous support of Wells Fargo, the Canal Alliance PACE team is now better equipped to promote continued success for Marin’s immigrant community.
