Canal Alliance Emergency Fund Waitlist
Given the large demand, applying for our waitlist is not a guarantee you will be connected with funds. You will be contacted by a Canal Alliance staff member if we are able to connect you with financial assistance – please note this could be more than a month after submitting your application. Please know that by submitting your form, you are on our waitlist, even if you don’t hear from us, and we ask that you not submit more than one application, as this slows the process for everyone.
Many immigrants in Marin County have been disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus crisis. Many people have lost their jobs or have had their work hours reduced, and are now having trouble paying their bills and buying groceries and other essential items for their families. Canal Alliance will continue to offer financial assistance to support families who have been affected by this crisis. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible who have emergency needs in our community.
For people who believe their families qualify for support, Canal Alliance invites people to apply for the waitlist. Please note that applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Who is eligible to get on the Canal Alliance financial assistance waitlist?
Low-income Latino immigrants and their families who reside in Marin County AND who have lost their jobs or suffered a reduction in their income due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Shelter-in-Place order.
