Si un agente de inmigración trata de hacerle preguntas, usted tiene el derecho de guardar silencio.
- NO FIRME NADA
Usted tiene el derecho a hablar con un abogado. No firme ningún documento hasta que hable con su abogado.
- SI ESTÁ AFUERA DE SU CASA Y TIENE UN ENCUENTRO CON UN AGENTE DE INMIGRACIÓN
Es importante no correr y mantener la calma. Pregunte al agente si es libre de irse y si dice que sí, váyase con tranquilidad.
- SI ESTÁ DENTRO DE SU CASA, MUÉSTRELE EL TEXTO A CONTINUACIÓN AL AGENTE DE INMIGRACIÓN A TRAVÉS DE LA VENTANA
“I do not wish to speak with you, answer your questions, or sign or hand you any documents based on my 5th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution.”
“I do not give you permission to enter my home based on my 4th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution unless you have a warrant to enter, signed by a budget or magistrate with my name on it that you slide under the door.”
“I do not give you permission to search any of my belongings based on my 4th Amendment rights.”
“I choose to exercise my constitutional rights.”
