Over 30% of Marin County foster youth are living outside of our county due to a lack of homes. We especially need families that are Spanish speaking and those that can care for teens and sibling groups. We need people who are willing to give back to the community so that our children can continue in the same school when possible. We want to keep children in the same school and community when possible and in order to do that we need a larger more diverse pool of homes.
We offer monthly Orientation meetings that are facilitated by a social worker and a current Resource Family to discuss the application process, training and support available.
