Each year, volunteers contribute more than 14,000 hours of service to support hard-working Latino immigrants and their families to gain stability and well-being, access education and legal services, access better employment opportunities, and improve their financial security.
ESL Teacher Aide (Distance Learning)
We are looking for new teacher aide’s for our Spring 2021 semester. Our ESL Program integrates relevant teaching practices in grammar, writing, listening-speaking, and reading in an inclusive environment that develops students’ language as well as the cultural awareness they will need to thrive. Food Pantry Distribution
Volunteers needed every Tuesday 8am – 11am. The Canal Alliance Food Pantry offers fresh produce and packaged foods for hundreds of families in the Canal neighborhood every Tuesday. Each week, volunteers provide support in unloading food, packing grocery bags, stocking shelves, handing out food in the walk-through system, and
clean up and take down of the Food Pantry as it closes. Volunteers must be able to commit to a minimum of one month (4 weeks). Click here to learn more and apply.
VITA Tax Prep Volunteer
