Youth Education Hackathon!
Event: Dream, Code, Inspire: A Community Hackathon

Location: 711 Grand Ave, San Rafael, CA 94901 – Bay Building
Overview:
Canal Alliance is excited to host Dream, Code, Inspire: A Community Hackathon for middle school students! This event will introduce students to coding with Scratch, a beginner-friendly programming language, while also fostering skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and creative thinking. Participants will work in teams to design a project that highlights a challenge or strength in their community.
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to help make this event a success!
Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities:
Registration Support: Check students in, provide name tags, and ensure a smooth arrival process.
Breakfast Setup & Distribution: Assist with setting up and handing out breakfast to participants.
Lunch Setup & Distribution: Help organize and distribute lunch during the event.

Volunteer Requirements:
- Must be friendly, reliable, and organized
- Comfortable interacting with middle school students
- No prior coding experience required—just a passion for supporting youth!
