Graduate From College

University Prep (UP!) supports students to prepare for and complete a four-year college degree. 

For students in grades 6 through 12, UP! offers an afterschool program that provides tutoring, homework help, academic workshops, and counseling to prepare students to graduate from high school ready for college. Students also receive support to apply to and enroll in college. Once in college, UP! provides scholarships and case management to support student success. 

ABOUT UP! STUDENTS AND UP! Alumni in college 

• 105 middle school and high school students (grades 6 – 12) 

• 56 college students (in both two-year colleges and four-year universities) 

All students are from Latino families with a recent immigration experience and attend San Rafael City Schools: Davidson Middle School, Venetia Valley K-8, San Rafael High School, and Terra Linda High School. 

UP! college students are enrolled in the following colleges and universities: 

College of Marin, Contra Costa College, CSU East Bay, Humboldt State University, Sacramento State University, Sonoma State University, San Francisco State University, San Jose State University, Santa Rosa Junior College, UC Merced, UC Irvine, and UCLA.
